In addition to proper preparation of the racecars, Northwest Autosport also focuses attention on providing drivers with the proper training outside of race weekends which is why we maintain a secondary shop at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. This facility in central California is frequently used by top teams in the ChampCar World Series, the ChampCar Atlantic Series and the Star Mazda Championship. The team has also used driver coaches extensively to help their drivers with the mental and physical aspect of racing. During the season the team will often travel to race venues prior to the event to participate in test sessions to acquaint drivers with new venues.

This is where the hard work of preparation and testing pays off with Northwest Autosport crew focusing their energy on providing the drivers with the best possible car for every session with coaches offering additional support. Drivers can focus on driving as the team handles the logistics of a race weekend. If desired, down time can be spent in the driver lounge of the team transporter and the team will keep you informed of any series meetings and schedule changes.
